I love giving homemade gifts during the holidays and I find that the easier the better (especially when giving to many people). This recipe is easy, fast, sweet and delicious. I used pint sized Ball canning jars, printed parchment paper, thin ribbon and jingle bells to make it presentable as a gift.
White Chocolate Popcorn
White chocolate chips
Fresh popped corn
1. Pop your popcorn and sort for any kernels that didn’t pop or pop completely and any signs of kernel shells. Cool in single layer on waxed paper lined cookie sheet.
2. Melt white chocolate using the “double boiler” method. When all chips are melted and chocolate is smooth; carefully pour over popped corn. Quickly and carefully toss to coat the popcorn (I use 2 large wooden spoons).
3. Sprinkle colored dot sprinkles over popcorn and allow to set. This should take about 30 minutes to an hour.
4. Carefully break coated popcorn into bite sized pieces.
Store in airtight container for up to 4 days. Popcorn is best if eaten with the first 24 hours.
