Product Review: Knorr® Homestyle Stock

While I love making my own chicken stock; sometimes I just don’t have the time to do so. I have tried name brands and store brands of ready-made chicken stock and they were missing something; that homemade taste.

On television, I saw an ad for a homestyle stock from Knorr® and since I love their other products I thought I would give it a try.

This product comes in four small tubs and you all you need to do is add 3 ½ cups of boiling water per tub for your broth or soup (I use 2 cups of boiling water when I need a stronger stock).  It was amazing! The aroma was that of homemade, the taste was that of homemade, the clean-up was so much easier than homemade.

This product is not just for making chicken stock. Add one tub to 3 pounds of mashed potatoes or 3 cups of cooked rice for a savory taste, blend one tub with your favorite herbs and rub on 3-4 pounds of poultry before roasting. Make sauces and gravies with ease.

Knorr® also makes a beef and a vegetable stock to be used with the same ease. I may never make my own stock again!

You can find this product in the same isle as you find your soups and stocks. It may cost a little more, but you will get 12-14 cups in this 4-pack compared to about 2-4 cups per can or container of ready-made stock.

This is my personal opinion and I am not being compensated by Knorr® or its affiliates.

  1. I use this for chicken stock and for gravy, so much simpler. Shhh…don’t tell 😉
