Hummus Makes: 1 ¾ cups
(Given to me by Barbara Houser)
In a food processor or blender, combine the following:
1 (15 oz.) can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), undrained
¼ cup tahini (sesame paste)
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2-4 cloves garlic
¼ tsp. salt
¼ to ½ tsp. ground red pepper (if desired)
Process or blend until smooth.
Spoon into a serving bowl.
Barbara’s Note: If you don’t want that “kick” you can omit the ground red pepper.
